Serve the oven roasted, honey glazed onions along with roasted pork, chicken or ham, and a green salad for a complete meal. A loaf of crusty French bread, to sop up all the delicious pan juices, also makes a nice accompaniment to honey glazed onion casserole.
Cipollini Onions
Cipollini onions, are small, flat onions, which measure 1 to 2 inches across, and 1 inch thick. Cipollini onions can be found in the produce section of most grocery stores. Cipollini onions may be available either in bulk, or in pre-packaged, eight ounce net bags. Look for cipollini onions in the grocery store near the regular onions, or where the pearl onions and shallots are kept. Pearl onions may be substituted for the cipollini onions if necessary.
